| Semester 2 - 2010 |
| Bruce
Week |
| Bruce Week is the traditional name for the first week of second semester. Why? Who knows. But anyway, it's a week where the BSA provide free lunches and social activities so students can catch up after the break and have some fun before the assignments start pouring in. | Do
you like to find out about other countries from the people who
live there? Do you like helping visitors to our country by teaching
them about our culture? Are you friendly, outgoing and enjoy doing
stuff with other people? Then UniMates might be just the thing
for you!
The
International Friendship Program run by the BSA and La Trobe International
is looking for volunteers to help new international students in
semester two to adapt to life in Australia. The program is run
over six weeks and involves a social activity with a group of
students each week. Activities include things like ten pin bowling,
indoor rock climbing, African drumming, trivia night and cooking
for a shared dinner.
To
find out more about UniMates, grab a brochure from the BSA Info
Centre or contact Grace

| We
are again searching for students willing to offer their time to
help show potential future students and their families around the
Campus.
Bendigo
is known as a welcoming and friendly campus, and having welcoming
and friendly guides is a great way to promote our University.
You will be provided with training so you are confident and prepared
on the day. You will also receive some rewards as a thank you
for your efforts along with a certificate of appreciation.

Our
cupboards at the BSA are overflowing with lost property from throughout
semester 1. We have: memory sticks, sunglasses, reading glasses, textbooks,
DVDs, clothes, keys, pencil cases and heaps of other stuff. If not picked
up before end of semester, the whole lot will be given away. Ask at the
Info Centre if you think something belongs to you. |
